Omdat ik een échte mood reader ben, lees ik ook diverse verschillende romance boeken (zolang er maar spice in zit). Zo ontdekte ik een tijdje geleden de Gummy Bear Orgy Series geschreven door Rebecca Rennick. Deze serie bestaat uit meerdere boeken en elk boek kan je lezen als een standalone. Natuurlijk ben ik begonnen met het eerste boek Pinky Promise, daar vertel ik in dit artikel wat meer over…

Natuurlijk valt het roze design van deze paperback gelijk op, elk boek uit deze serie heeft ook zijn “eigen” kleur. Het roze thema stopt niet alleen bij de paperback, maar de Lala (de FMC) brengt deze kleur ook op meerdere manieren graag terug.

Pinky Promise heeft een romcom vibe, met serieuze onderwerpen en hier en daar ook wat spice. Het verhaal leest lekker weg en ook al is het soms een tikkeltje voorspelbaar, dit is wel een goed/leuk boek waardoor ik ook de andere boeken uit de Gummy Bear Orgy wil gaan lezen. Voor mij is dit een ideale pallette cleaner, vooral als ik meer dark romance boeken met heftige thema’s gelezen heb. Of gewoon in de mood ben voor de vrolijke Lala en de Grumpy Henry. Ik heb dit boek op GoodReads een rating gegeven van 3,75/5⭐️.
